Cookie policy

This Cookie policy explains which cookies and similar browser storage uthena.com uses, why, and how you control them. It supplements our Privacy policy.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. We also use your browser’s local storage to remember your cookie choice and whether you closed our newsletter sign-up pop-up. Below, “cookies” covers both.

Your choice

When you first visit Uthena, a cookie notice asks for your choice. We use three categories:

  • Necessary: always on, because the site cannot work without them (signing in, your cart, secure payment, crediting the affiliate or instructor who referred you, remembering your choices).
  • Analytics: only with your consent. They show us which pages and campaigns help people.
  • Marketing: only with your consent. We use no marketing cookies today; if we ever add any, such as advertising pixels, they will only run when you switch this on.

You choose with Accept all, Reject all (necessary cookies only) or Settings, where you switch analytics and marketing on or off separately; both are off until you switch them on. Until you consent, no analytics or marketing script is loaded and no analytics or marketing cookie is set. You can change your choice at any time with Cookie settings in the footer of every page; withdrawing consent switches the scripts off and deletes their cookies. When we change what we use cookies for, we ask you again.

We currently set no marketing cookies. Affiliate and instructor referral cookies are necessary cookies (see above): without them we cannot pay the people who send customers to Uthena their commission or referral bonus.

Apart from Stripe’s fraud-prevention cookies at checkout and, only with your consent, Google Analytics, we set no third-party cookies. We do not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels. If we ever add them, they will only load with your marketing consent, we will list them here first and we will ask for your choice again.

Managing cookies in your browser

You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings. If you block essential cookies, you will not be able to sign in, keep items in your cart or check out.
