Every product on Uthena is sold with one or more licenses: Personal, PLR (Private Label Rights) and/or MRR (Master Resell Rights). A Business license for internal staff training is available on request. The product page shows which licenses a product is sold with and the price of each. These License terms explain what each license lets you do. They are part of our Terms and conditions.
A license is granted to the buyer named on the order. Buying a license never transfers the copyright: the original course remains the property of the instructor who made it. PLR includes everything the Personal license allows, and MRR includes everything PLR allows.

Personal license (Lifetime Access)
The Personal license is for learning. Some product pages and older orders call it “Lifetime Access”. With a Personal license you may:
- watch every lesson of the course in your Uthena account and learn from it, as often as you like;
- track your progress and pick up where you left off;
- download the lesson materials the instructor provides (for example worksheets or slides) for your own use;
- receive a certificate of completion, where the course offers one;
- use what you learn in your own life, job or business.
“Lifetime” means for as long as the course is available on Uthena. The Personal license gives you no rights to copy, alter, rebrand, sell, share or give away the course or its materials, and it does not include the PLR package or a license key.
Business license
A Business license lets one business or organisation use the course to train its own staff internally. It gives no rights to resell or rebrand the course and does not include the PLR package. The Business license is available on request: contact us if you need one.
PLR license (Private Label Rights)
A PLR license lets you make the course your own: change it to your needs, put your name and brand on it, and sell it in your own business. You keep all the income you earn from it. Using the course to train your own staff internally is included.
What you get:
- Everything the Personal license gives you: access to the course in your Uthena account, progress tracking and the lesson materials
- The PLR package to download from your account: the course files, the course descriptions and sales copy, any extra files and, where available, marketing assets. What a package contains depends on what the instructor supplied; the product page lists it
- A license key, shown in your order confirmation email and in your account, that records your license
What you may do: edit, rename, translate and rebrand the course and its sales material; put your own name on the product and the sales letter; use the material to create new products; sell it separately or in a bundle, as a physical or digital product, as a bonus or in a paid membership site; and use it to build a mailing list.
What you may not do: give your buyers any resale rights or rebranding rights. Your customers may only use the product themselves. The restrictions under “What no license allows” below also apply.
MRR license (Master Resell Rights)
MRR is our highest license. It gives you everything PLR gives you, plus the right to sell the course with resale rights, so that your buyers may sell it again to their own customers. For most buyers a PLR license is enough. Choose MRR if you want to sell the rights to the course, not just the course. Using the course to train your own staff internally is included.
What you get:
- Everything in the PLR license: course access, progress tracking, the lesson materials, the full PLR package and a license key in your name
- Every PLR right: edit, rebrand, put your name on it and sell it as your own
- The right to offer resale rights to your buyers
What your buyers may do when you sell to them with resale rights: use the product themselves, and sell it to their own customers for those customers’ personal use. Those end customers get no resale rights.
What you may not do:
- Offer Master Resell Rights: your buyers may resell the product, but may not pass resale rights on again
- Offer Private Label Rights: your buyers may not edit, rebrand or put their own name on the product
- Give your buyers wider rights than these License terms allow. When you sell with resale rights, you must tell your buyers in writing what they may and may not do, including the restrictions under “What no license allows” below, which apply to them as well

A bundle gives you a PLR license on every course inside it: course access, the PLR package and a license key for each course.

What no license allows
- Transferring or claiming the copyright in the original course, or presenting yourself as the creator of the instructor’s original course
- Selling or offering the course, or any version of it, on Uthena, Soofos, Udemy, Skillshare or any other course marketplace you don’t own and control
- Giving the course away for free, or adding it to free membership sites, YouTube or other free video sites
- Passing on Private Label Rights or Master Resell Rights
- Sharing your Uthena account, your course access or your license key with others
- Using the course in a way that breaks the law or the rights of others
How long your license and downloads last
Your license does not expire: the rights it gives you continue unless the license is revoked (see below). Downloads work differently. We guarantee that the files of a product (the PLR package and the lesson materials) can be downloaded from your account for 12 months from the date of purchase. Please download them in that time and keep your own backup. After 12 months you can usually still download them for as long as the product is available on Uthena, but we do not guarantee it. See “Download availability” in our Terms and conditions.
Upgrading a license
If you own a course with a Personal or PLR license, you can upgrade to a higher license on that course from the product page. You pay the difference between the price of the license you own and the price of the new license. Licenses that came with a bundle cannot be upgraded.
Refunds and revoked licenses
When an order is refunded under our Refund policy, the licenses in that order are revoked: you lose access to the course(s), the license key stops working, and you must delete all downloaded files and any copy of the license. If a license is used in breach of these License terms, we may revoke it.
